Worldwide and industry compliance

In July 2016, the Electronic Identification and Trust Services (eIDAS) regulation—a European ruling on electronic signatures and transactions—was introduced to businesses in Europe and around the world with a clear preference for digital signatures. eIDAS allows individuals and businesses across the European Union to use digital signatures, seals, timestamps and registered deliveries across national borders while carrying the same legal weight as their physical counterparts.

Comprehensive audit trails

E-signatures are legally binding, just like handwritten signatures, but some digital signatures are better equipped to withstand being challenged in court than others. With SIGNiX, every step in a document's lifecycle is recorded in a highly detailed audit trail known as TotalAudit™—a powerful event log that provides comprehensive information about the transaction and every signature. This log accompanies the document and will help you prove a document’s validity if it is ever questioned.

Tamper evidence and tamper proofing

SIGNIX digital signatures offer cybersecurity protection options that significantly reduce a company’s risk of fraud, both internal and external. One example is tamper-evident technology, which indicates if any unauthorized changes have been made to a document. Additionally, you can incorporate protection that is both tamper evident and tamper proof.

Signer identification options

SIGNiX’s cybersecurity protection options also include a variety of ways to prove the identity of your signers. From a simple email or text message with a one-time passcode to more advanced methods, such as knowledge-based authentication, you can customize the identity authentication options for each of your signers every time a document is signed. This gives you peace of mind that only authorized and confirmed users can access or sign a document.
