Credit unions move one step closer to chip-and-pin cards

Smart chip embedded debit cards are one step closer to being issued in credit unions as an industry council announced that it had reached an agreement on a software approach.

Secure Remote Payment Council announced that the 10 debit network members of its Chip and PIN Workgroup have agreed on a common software approach to use for all Discover Financial Services debit card issuers. Click here to read more.
