#cyberawareThis month marks the 12th annual National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM), a collaborative effort among government, industry, nonprofits, educational institutions and consumers to ensure everyone has the resources they need to stay safer and more secure online. President Obama has identified cybersecurity as one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation.

According to the National Cyber Security Alliance, the importance of observing NCSAM each October is steadily increasing as the world becomes more connected. Well, we couldn’t agree more. SIGNiX supports Cyber Security Awareness Monthand promotes NCSAM in hopes of bringing awareness to the increasing number of cyber attacks. In a recent McAfee Labs threats predictions report, McAfee Labs sates that, “cyber espionage attacks will continue to increase in frequency. Long-term players will become stealthier information gatherers, sophisticated cybercriminals will shift from quick attacks to intelligence gathering and newcomers will look for ways to steal money and disrupt their adversaries.”

McAfee Labs also claims that, “data privacy will remain under threat as governments and businesses grapple with what is fair and authorized access to personal information. About 110 million Americans - equivalent to about 50% of US adults - have had their personal data exposed in some form in the past year. There will be an ever-increasing creep in the scope of data privacy rules and regulations. Antiquated role-based systems and password schemas will fail and be taken over by those with malicious intent. Biometrics and IDs in context will be key areas for innovation and likely the best indicators of presence and intent. Ransomware will target endpoints that subscribe to cloud-based storage services, attempting to exploit the stored credentials of logged-on users to also infect data backed up to the cloud.”

The threat of cybersecurity is real. Are you prepared? We at SIGNiX take the security and assurance of your e-signed documents very seriously. We recognize that e-signatures can make transactions speedy and convenient, but we have not lost sight of the fact that signatures are also essential to the legal legitimacy of your organization. That’s why we offer an easy-to-use Independent E-Signature™ solution that permanently embeds the legal evidence of an e-signature directly into signed documents.

Our responsive and intuitive technology gives you:

Ownership and Control: You decide where documents reside and can independently verify signed documents anywhere, anytime.

Transparency: Complete access to the evidence supporting a signature’s validity is always immediately available.

Longevity: Our technology is based on international, published standards that are always discoverable, so signatures are valid forever.

Trust: SIGNiX ensures your privacy and protects data security. We safeguard the integrity of your documents and sensitive information against unforeseen risks in an evolving digital environment.

Cost Savings: When companies switch from wet ink to electronic signatures, they negate the need for processing, shipping, copying and storing signed paper documents – resulting in significant savings.

We understand that documents aren’t just transitory bits of information, rather they are in fact vital DNA for your business. We apply a standards-based digital signature for each and every signature and initial on the document.

Cybersecurity has become an integral function in business – it’s what enables companies to continue operating. It is vital in today’s evolving digital world to implement the best tools and tactics to protect themselves, their customers, and their data. Do you have a cybersecurity plan in place?
