Washington, D.C. credit union advocates say there’s no mention of the credit union tax exemption in either of the most recent budget proposals released by both parties.

CUNA says both proposed budgets would eliminate tax loopholes, but committees would specify which loopholes to eliminate. Neither bill mentions the credit unions’ tax status, according to CUNA. Click here to learn more.
