Wildfly Migration Status

WEBTEST Current Status: 150.3 - Wildfly

PRODUCTION: 150.3 - JBoss4

SIGNiX is about to embark on an exciting journey: migrating to an updated application architecture (Wildfly); installing new, more powerful hardware; and upgrading other newer components. This is a transition we’ve been planning for many months (and longer), and we are closing on on the final steps.

We wanted to share more detailed information with you about this exciting upgrade.

  • First, no configuration changes are required by any partner or client. That includes push notifications, URLs, etc.
  • Second, the transition to the new hardware is already complete in the production environment, and all of production is running smoothly on the new hardware already.

Here are a few other key items to keep in mind regarding risk mitigation in the upgrade to WildFly.

  •  For the past several months, we have performed an enormous amount of testing of the new architecture in our test environment.  We have tested, as you would expect, interaction with the prior architecture and its effect on features, functionality and efficiency. On all accounts, the new architecture has passed with flying colors.
  • WildFly is running the same SIGNiX codebase (150.3) as before. All user interfaces, features, and functionality are the same as currently in production.
  • The Wildfly upgrade was engineered to minimize the number of layers of the platform changing at once.  For example, no database upgrade is required to deploy Wildfly.

As we go through the migration process, we will keep this page updated as to the nature of the Webtest and Production environment as well as any key known issues that we have found. Please report any issues you find to customersupport@signix.com along with the time and environment in which you discovered the issue.

Known Issues: None as of now.
