As companies increasingly transition from manual paper processes to electronic workflows, data security is more important than ever before. From client contracts to employee onboarding documents, these electronic files contain highly sensitive information that needs to stay safe from the wrong people. As the infographic below reveals, human error—whether by accident or on purpose—is one of the biggest threats to data security.  One way these companies can protect their data is with digital signatures—a highly secure type of electronic signature that requires identity authentication, prevents tampering and maintains a complete audit trail. These levels of protection significantly reduce a company’s risk of internal and external fraud.
