Washington governor expected to approve board compensation bill

Another state is on the verge of allowing state-chartered credit unions to pay their board members. Washington’s Gov. Jay Inslee is expected to sign the legislation into law on Monday.

The proposed legislation unanimously passed in the state’s House and Senate earlier this year.

If Islee approves the bill next week, Washington State will become the 11th state to make this change in board member compensation law. Click here to learn more.
