ICMA, the International City/County Management Association, hosted their 101st ICMA Conference in Seattle, WA September 27-30. With 3,814 attendees—of those, 2,693 were ICMA members—SIGNiX had the great opportunity to explain how perfectly our Independent E-Signature™ solution fits into local government and the public sector space.

ICMA Conference in Seattle

SIGNiX’s National Account Manager dedicated to public sector, Shawn White, says, “My favorite thing to hear a city manager say is, ‘I don’t have any extra money to spend on this.’ It’s perfect because I can tell them that they’re already spending money on this process. They’re just spending it on paper and postage instead.”

Our Independent E-Signature solution is secure, compliant and legally valid forever, making it the perfect choice to update antiquated and slow paper processes into the present. The focus for tight budgets is that funds being used to process government forms, like recruiting documents, procurement, onboarding papers and project management are better spent on a cost-effective e-signature solution that ends the days-long waiting period.

Another highlight that Shawn reported, is the clarification he was able to provide to city managers and assistant city managers when they expressed concern or seemed overwhelmed about switching to a digital workflow. All of SIGNiX’s products are secure and legal, but there are different levels of commitment.

It’s true that you will receive more return on investment the more you utilize our solution, but there’s nothing wrong with starting small to branch out later. Shawn suggests that apprehensive first-time users begin by using e-signatures in one department, then expand as you become increasingly more comfortable.
